A Unique Estate

Callatoota is unusual for several reasons:

• The wines are made only from fruit grown in the Callatoota vineyard.
  
  
• The Estate is completely self sufficient, having its own
  equipment for every operation from harvesting to
  bottling and labelling.
  
  
• Most of the wines are matured in large American oak
  casks for up to two years before being bottled in the winery.
  
  
• After being bottled, the wines are matured for several
  years in the underground cellars before release.
  
  
• Visitors to the cellar door are looked after by
  John Cruickshank or his partner Laurie Nicholls.
